If You Are Thinking About Ordering A Bracelet
How much do the bracelets cost?
The bracelets are $9.95 US. We offer free shipping. Customers outside of Washington state do not have to pay sales tax. For those customers in Washington state, you probably know that each county, and some cities, have a different tax rate (and these can change from year to year) - from a computer-programming standpoint, this is too much to keep up with. For this reason, we offer a "local discount" for in-state residents of $9.95, tax included (we will pay the taxes by taking pen to paper at the end of the year). Bottom line: wherever you are, you will pay a flat $9.95 per bracelet, delivered. But the interactive "build-your-own-bracelet" feature on the Home Page is free to try. If you like the way the bracelet looks, you will be given the option to purchase it when you are done. Try it out! » Back to top
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept any Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card (credit or debit) or you can pay by PayPal. It will take a little longer, but you can also pay by check or money order (payable in US$). Please do not send cash. » Back to top
Where do you ship?
We use the US postal service and can ship to any valid address (including PO boxes). The bracelets are very lightweight, and after speaking with our local post office, we have determined that we can afford to ship anywhere in the world at no charge to you (the only exceptions to this are the countries of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria). Keep in mind that it will cost us more to offer free shipping outside of the U.S., so for our international customers, if you appreciate this service, please consider ordering a few bracelets. » Back to top
How long will it take to receive the bracelets?
For customers within the U.S., you should receive your bracelets in less than two weeks. For customers outside of the U.S., you should receive your bracelets in less than three weeks, but this may vary. You can ask your local post office how long it would take to send an air-mail letter to Seattle, WA USA, and figure roughly one week longer than that. We are a small company, and sometimes we go on vacation, but you will always be alerted by our website of any possible delay in shipping before completing any purchase. If you need a rush on your order, please contact us by phone - our number is listed on our Contact page. » Back to top
Do you offer a discount for multiple bracelets?
If you order eight or more bracelets, the shopping cart will automatically change your price to $8.95. If you wish to place a VERY large order, you may Contact Us to discuss the price, but please keep in mind that each bracelet is individually handmade, and proudly made in the USA. We will not be able to discount much further than that. We believe that our prices are fair and that our product is of high quality. We hope that you will agree. » Back to top
What are the bracelets made of?
The bands are made using a waxed linen cord (some people call it Irish linen). The wax will eventually wear off as you wear the bracelet - it just makes the cord easier to work with when making the bracelet. We use macramé (a certain way of tying knots) to give the bracelets the look that you see on the Home Page. The colored beads are called "seed beads" and are made of Czechoslovakian glass. The letter beads are acrylic. » Back to top
How do I know the bracelets will fit?
We have been making name bracelets for a long time and are really good at getting the size right. Check out the "build-your-own-bracelet" feature on the Home Page. We will ask a few questions about the person who will be wearing the bracelet - age, sex, and body type. We will then make the bracelet just a little bit bigger than we think it needs to be, and include a card that shows how to adjust the bracelet to make it smaller (for kids, this also leaves a little room to grow). » Back to top
Will the bracelets stretch out?
The bracelets will stretch by just under 5% by length. This may not sound like much, but it does make a bit of difference. Please hang on to the card that is included with each bracelet. This card will show how to shorten the bracelets if they are too big. You can also find these instructions at the bottom of this page. » Back to top
Can you make a bracelet for a very young child?
We can make a bracelet that is sized for children under 3 years old, but please keep in mind that there are small beads in each bracelet. For safety reasons, it may be more appropriate to order the bracelet as a keepsake, or to order a 3-year-old sized bracelet that can be saved for a year or two, or to order a mom-sized bracelet with the baby's name on it. » Back to top
What can you put on the bracelets (other than a name)?
Names are, by far, our biggest seller. But we can put any word or very short phrase on the bracelets. Some people are fond of "inspiration bracelets" with words like "peace" or "serenity" on them. We can put a space between names or words, but unfortunately we do not have numbers, images, or other symbols - no hyphens, no apostrophes, etc. (sorry). We typically put at least a few seed beads (colored beads) on each side of the name, and can also put a beaded flower on each side. Try out the "build-your-own-bracelet" feature on the Home Page - it is free to try, easy to use, and you will be given suggestions and explanations at each step to help you "build" just the right bracelet. » Back to top
How many letters can you fit on a bracelet?
That depends on the size of the bracelet. If you haven't tried the "build-your-own-bracelet" feature on the Home Page, check it out - it's free to try! We will determine what size you will need for your bracelet, and you can see if your name, word, or phrase will fit. » Back to top
Can the bracelets get wet?
The bracelets are made using a linen cord. Linen is a natural fiber, and does not do well with the chlorine in a swimming pool, but you can wear them in salt water, fresh water, in the shower, etc. » Back to top
How long will the bracelets last?
That depends on how often you wear the bracelet. Because the bracelets are made using a natural fiber, they will not last forever. But if you were to wear your bracelet every day (sleeping and showering in it) it should last about a year. » Back to top
Can you make anklets, necklaces, or keychains?
No. Don't ask why. It would be a long, boring explanation. And after all of the technical, procedural reasons that we could give you, it still comes down to "no". We just do bracelets. Sorry. » Back to top

If You Have Already Ordered A Bracelet
What if my bracelet arrived and it was made wrong?
Don't worry. Whether we screwed it up or you typed it in wrong, we want our customers to be happy, and we will make it right. Just Contact Us (preferably by phone) and we can make you a new one. No problem. » Back to top
What if I ordered a bracelet and it never arrived?
Uh-oh - that's not good. If you are within the U.S., please allow two weeks for delivery (unless our website informed you otherwise when placing your order). If you are outside the U.S., ask your local post office how long it would take for airmail between your address and Seattle, WA USA, and allow that amount of time plus one week. If it has still not arrived, please Contact Us (preferably by phone), and we will send you another one. No problem. » Back to top
How can I adjust the size of my bracelet?
There should have been a card included with your bracelet that explains how to adjust the size, but here are the instructions again:
If your bracelet is the right size.
Twist the loop clockwise a few times before inserting the button.
This will make a smaller loop and keep the button inside, nice and snug.
If your bracelet is too small.
Grip both ends of the bracelet and pull hard.
This should stretch the bracelet about ¼ inch.
If it is still too small, and you don't want to put it on your keychain, give us a call.
We can make you a larger one - no problem.
If your bracelet is too large.
To make the bracelet a bit smaller:
Put the button on the inside (bottom) of the loop.
Twist the loop once (close to the button).
Put the loop over the button a second time.
If your bracelet is much too large.
Maybe try it as an anklet.
Or, to make the bracelet a lot smaller:
Put the button-side of the bracelet through the loop about 1 inch.
Wrap the button 360 degrees around the loop-side of the bracelet, away from you.
With the button back on top, twist the loop towards you once (close to the button).
Put the loop over the button.
Young children will need help with this adjustment. » Back to top
